Welcome Family
Hello and Welcome,
Welcome to 2Wanda Training Angel – Behavioral Health & Direct Care Network. I’m Towanda Carrigan, the founder and visionary behind 2WTA. Whether you’ve come to train, grow, collaborate, or serve, I want to personally thank you for answering the call to care.
2WTA was founded with a divine mission—to elevate the standard of direct care, one empowered individual at a time. With over 25 years of experience as a caregiver, trainer, and advocate for individuals with developmental and behavioral needs, I’ve learned that this work is more than a role—it is a calling. And here at 2WTA, we honor that calling with excellence.
We believe that all behavior is communication. Every action, reaction, and moment of resistance is an expression of need, emotion, or unmet connection. At 2WTA, we teach and lead from this foundational truth—because when we learn to listen beyond the behavior, we begin to truly support the individual.
We believe every person has the ability to thrive, and that includes the professionals who show up every day to serve. Our work is grounded in purpose, compassion, and intentional action. We are here to train, to mentor, and to walk with you as you become a greater version of yourself in this work.
This is your space to rise. This is your space to lead. This is your space to serve with impact.
You are now part of a community that believes in inclusion, values ability, and transforms care through training, strategy, and soul.
Thank you for choosing to journey with us.
With purpose and gratitude,
Towanda Carrigan

About Towanda Carrigan
Founder & Behavioral Strategist
2Wanda Training Angel – Behavioral Health & Direct Care Network
Towanda Carrigan is a purpose-driven leader, behavioral strategist, and lifelong caregiver who has spent over 20 years elevating the standard of support for individuals with intellectual, developmental, and behavioral differences. As the founder of 2Wanda Training Angel, she leads with a heart for inclusion and a hands-on approach to care training that transforms lives—not just resumes.
With decades of practical experience across home care, early childhood, behavioral health, and disability support, Towanda is a certified instructor in CPR/First Aid, Article 9, Prevention and Support, and Direct Care Worker (DCW) trainings. She also holds credentials as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Child Care Provider (CCP), CPI Instructor, and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)—all of which inform the deeply compassionate, real-world training she delivers to Direct Support Professionals and families alike.
Towanda is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Psychology, with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). While she honors the power of formal education, she believes deeply that it is lived experience that makes learning practical, accessible, and transformational. Her story reflects the very heart of 2Wanda Training Angel: that meaningful care begins with awareness, grows through mentorship, and leads with purpose.
Through 2Wanda Training Angel, Towanda is building a behavioral health and direct care network that doesn’t just train—it equips, uplifts, and empowers every person who chooses to serve.
“Education gives us language. Experience makes it real. Together, they make impact possible.”
