The IAM2WANDA™ Practice

Understanding Human Behavior Within Human Systems

I help individuals, families, professionals, organizations, and communities develop greater understanding of human behavior within human systems through the IAM2WANDATM Framework and the Orientation Method™.

BEHAVIOR IS DATA.

CAPACITY IS MENTAL.

PURPOSE IS DESIGN.

01

What Is the IAM2WANDA™ Practice?

The IAM2WANDATM Practice is the professional application of the IAM2WANDATM Framework through the Orientation Method™.

The Framework provides universal principles for understanding human behavior within human systems. The Orientation Method™provides the methodology for developing sufficient orientation. The Practice applies those principles and methodology within 2Wanda’s areas of professional competence.

The Framework is universal. The Practice is specialized.

2Wanda's Practice

Practice Domains

2Wanda applies the IAM2WANDA™ Framework through the Orientation Method™ within two primary Practice domains: Behavioral Health and Human Service Systems.

Areas of Professional Experience

2Wanda's Practice is informed by more than 25 years of professional and lived experience across Behavioral Health, Developmental Disability Services (DDD), Child Welfare Services (DCS), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Allied Health, Childcare, Special Education, Direct Care, Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), Workforce Development, and Family Support.

These areas describe the professional experience informing Towanda's Practice. Every engagement remains within her education, experience, credentials, ethical responsibilities, and professional competence.

04

The Foundation of the Practice

Behavior is Data.

Behavior is observable, informative, reflective, and contextual. It can provide information about what a person or human system may be experiencing, communicating, managing, or still learning to navigate. Behavior invites inquiry. It does not provide the entire explanation, and it does not define identity.

Capacity is Mental.

Capacity reflects what a person or human system can access, process, manage, communicate, and sustain within a particular moment and environment. Capacity may be influenced by relationships, expectations, responsibilities, environments, experiences, available skills, communication, and support. Capacity is not fixed, and it is not a measure of a person's worth.

Mental Fitness

Mental fitness is the intentional development, support, and reinforcement of the capacity needed to regulate, communicate, adapt, participate, make decisions, and respond responsibly. Mental fitness can be strengthened over time. It is supported by aligned environments, relationships, expectations, skills, communication, and systems.

Purpose is Design.

Purpose guides how people, environments, responsibilities, communication, support, and systems are intentionally organized. When purpose is clear, alignment becomes possible. Alignment helps ensure that the people and systems already involved are working from a more complete understanding and moving toward a shared direction. Support becomes the intentional expression of that alignment.

05

How the Orientation Method™ Connects

The Orientation Method™ begins with how understanding is developed.

People naturally understand the part of a situation for which they are responsible. The Orientation Method™ helps develop sufficient orientation by connecting relevant perspectives and exploring the people, relationships, environments, structures, responsibilities, and systems already involved.

It helps people and human systems consider what behavior may be communicating, recognize the capacity available within the moment, and intentionally organize the people, environments, responsibilities, communication, support, and systems already involved so they align with purpose.

This work occurs before conclusions are formed or actions are taken.

06

Who the Practice Supports

Individuals

Develop greater awareness of behavior, capacity, skills, environments, relationships, and the influences connected to a situation.

Families and Caregivers

Build a more complete understanding across the people, responsibilities, environments, communication, and support involved in family life and care.

Professionals

Strengthen observation, behavioral awareness, reflective practice, communication, professional judgment, and responsible action within established professional roles.

Organizations

Examine how behavior may reflect communication, leadership, expectations, roles, environments, capacity, support, and alignment within a human system.

Communities

Develop shared understanding across people, relationships, responsibilities, organizations, environments, and systems connected to a community concern or purpose.

07

How the Practice May Help

The IAM2WANDA™ Practice may be helpful before developing a plan or deciding what should happen next, when people understand different parts of the same situation, when behavior is being treated as identity, when recurring concerns continue despite existing support, when expectations and available capacity are not aligned, when communication, roles, or responsibilities are unclear, when a team or organization needs greater shared understanding, when people are unsure where to begin, when an existing plan is not producing the intended outcome, and when responsible next steps require greater clarity.

Depending on the purpose and scope of the engagement, the Practice may support information and perspective gathering, behavioral and environmental awareness, recognition of current capacity, identification of relevant skills and support needs, skill development and reinforcement, reflective practice, communication and role clarity, alignment across people and environments, facilitation of shared understanding, identification of responsible next steps, and referral to appropriate professional or organizational support.

08

Professional Scope

The IAM2WANDA™ Practice is grounded in 2Wanda's education, experience, credentials, ethical responsibilities, and professional competence.

The Practice does not provide diagnosis, psychotherapy, medical care, legal advice, emergency response, or services reserved for independently licensed or otherwise authorized professionals.

It supports—and does not replace—existing clinical, educational, therapeutic, medical, legal, crisis, or organizational systems.

The IAM2WANDA™ Framework does not create professional expertise. It provides a way to understand and apply its principles within existing expertise.

Start With Clarity. Leave With Direction.

Greater clarity begins by developing a more complete orientation to the people, relationships, environments, responsibilities, communication, support, and systems already involved.
