Mentorship Inquiry

Thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor through the 2Wanda volunteer mentorship pathway.

This form is designed to help us learn more about your interest in mentoring, the communities you hope to support, your previous experience, your general availability, and your willingness to complete the preparation and screening required before participating in mentorship activities.

Mentorship may involve supporting children, youth, adults, families, and communities connected to developmental disabilities and DDD, foster care and child-welfare systems, behavioral health, special-needs childcare, and related community and human-service environments.

Mentors are not expected to have all the answers. The mentorship pathway is designed to prepare individuals to listen, seek understanding, recognize behavior as information, respect individual experiences, encourage growth, help identify appropriate resources and next steps, and walk alongside others with consistency, responsibility, and care.

Previous mentoring, caregiving, professional, or community-service experience may be helpful, but it is not the only factor considered. Applicants must be willing to complete The Orientation Method™, required mentor preparation and training, applicable screening and background-check requirements, and fingerprint-clearance requirements before participating in mentorship activities.

Mentorship is free and volunteer-based.

Loc’d In Self-Love™ is a separate private paid community. Joining Loc’d In Self-Love™ is not required to apply for or participate in the volunteer mentorship pathway.

Submitting this form does not guarantee acceptance, placement, or a specific volunteer opportunity. After your information is reviewed, you will receive information regarding screening, preparation, training, and the appropriate next steps in the mentor pathway.
