Current DDD Service Focus
2Wanda Behavioral Care Services is currently in the Arizona DDD vendor application and approval process for Pathways to Employment and Employment Support Aide.
These services are intended for eligible DDD members when included in the member’s authorized service plan and delivered through an approved provider.
2WBCS will not begin providing these services until the applicable contract, authorization, staffing, and program requirements are in place.
Pathways to Employment (PTE)
Pathways to Employment is an Arizona DDD service that helps eligible members build skills, explore interests, identify strengths, and move toward meaningful competitive integrated employment based on their abilities, interests, and personal goals.
Arizona DDD currently describes this service as helping members develop skills and explore interests toward meaningful competitive integrated employment.
Support may include, when authorized, identifying strengths and interests, exploring employment possibilities, workplace-readiness development, communication and self-advocacy, understanding workplace expectations, planning routines and transportation needs, résumé and interview preparation, community-based learning, and developing employment-related goals and direction.
Employment Support Aide (ESA)
Employment Support Aide is an Arizona DDD service providing individualized one-to-one support to help an employed member remain successful in the workplace.
Depending on the member’s authorized plan, support may include applicable personal-care assistance, behavioral support, workplace participation, routines, communication, and other approved supports connected to maintaining employment.
DDD currently describes Employment Support Aide as ongoing one-to-one support to help a member remain employed and identifies personal-care and behavioral support at work as possible uses.
Who These Services Are Designed to Support
After provider approval and applicable service authorization, these services may support eligible Arizona DDD members whose individual goals and authorized service needs align with the applicable service.
Service decisions and authorizations are determined through the applicable DDD planning and authorization process. Submitting an inquiry to 2WBCS does not create eligibility or authorize a service.

How Authorized Services Will Work
01 — Referral or Information Request
A member, family/guardian, Support Coordinator, or other authorized party may contact 2WBCS regarding an applicable service.
02 — Confirm Service Eligibility & Authorization
Before service begins, applicable eligibility, service authorization, provider approval, and service requirements must be confirmed.
03 — Review the Member’s Goals & Authorized Plan
The service team reviews the member’s goals, preferences, authorized outcomes, needs, communication, and relevant service requirements.
04 — Coordinate Qualified Support
2WBCS coordinates appropriately qualified and prepared staff based on the authorized service and member needs.
05 — Deliver the Authorized Service
Services are provided within the approved scope, schedule, plan, and applicable program requirements.
06 — Document & Communicate
Service delivery, progress, relevant observations, and required reporting are documented and communicated according to applicable requirements.
